The Litz Mansion

This beautiful historic mansion was constructed in 1859 and is situated on a 3-acre lot within walking distance of the Tazewell main street area. It contains 10 beautiful bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, a luxurious dining room, a comfortable living room, and a sunny game room. The interior of the house is focused around a large central hallway serving as the main avenue of traffic and entrance area to the adjacent rooms. Three of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, along with the kitchen, dining room, living room, and game room. The central hallway flows into a large, wide staircase that provides access to an upper landing area before continuing on to the second floor. On the landing, you will find a cozy sitting area and access to three more of the bedrooms. The remaining four bedrooms are located on the second floor where you will also find access to the spacious upper balcony that overlooks the vast lawn.

Outside the house, just off of the front porch, you will find a rustic fire pit and sitting area.

Room #1 - The Litz Suite
Cozy bedroom featuring a queen-sized bed, fireplace, and private bathroom. Located downstairs toward
the back of the house with easy access to the kitchen, dining room, lounge, and conservatory.
The bedroom also hosts a closet and a ceiling fan for cooling
off on hot days. The attached private bath boasts a large walk-in shower with a large showerhead and a
small cabinet to place your toiletries in while enjoying your stay.

Room #2 - The Etta V. Room
Boasting a gorgeous view of the front porch/yard area this downstairs bedroom includes a king-sized
bed and fireplace. It is also conveniently connected to the Jeffersonville Lounge and shares the hall
bathroom with The Major Cecil Room.
This room includes a small dresser and large windows to sit by in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee.
The shared bathroom located in the hall boasts a large walk in shower with a large showerhead.

Room #3 - The Major Cecil Room
Boasting a gorgeous view of the front porch/yard area this downstairs bedroom includes a king-sized
bed and fireplace. It is located directly off the front hall and shares the hall bathroom with The Etta V.
Room.
This room includes two overhead lamps by the bed for nightly reading, a dresser, and large windows to
sit by in the evening. The shared bathroom located in the hall boasts a large walk in shower with a large
showerhead.

Room #4 - The Hopkins Room
Located upstairs across from the half-landing, this sunny bedroom has two sets of bunkbeds, a
closet, and side exit. It shares the upstairs hall bathroom with The Mary May Room.
This bedroom has two tall chests of drawers, one for each set of bunkbeds, and a ceiling fan for those
hot days. The large upstairs hall bathroom offers plenty of space with a large walk-in shower, pedestal
sink, and plenty of counter space. Keep an eye out for the new renovation to this bathroom.

Room #5 - The Mary May Room
Located upstairs, this room just off the half landing boasts two double beds and two closets. It shares
the upstairs hall bathroom with The Hopkins Room.
This bedroom includes a ceiling fan for cooling off on hot days, a chest of drawers with a mirror, perfect
for getting ready in the morning, and a second-tall chest of drawers. A bedside table with a lamp by each
bed ensures late night reading without disturbing the other sleeper. The large upstairs hall bathroom
offers plenty of space with a large walk in shower, pedestal sink, and plenty of counter space. Keep an
eye out for the new renovation to this bathroom.

Room #6 - The Doctor Johnston Suite
This tucked away upstairs bedroom just down the hall from the half- landing, features two double beds
and a private bathroom.
This bedroom includes a large walk in closet for hanging clothes as well as a dresser with a mirror. The
large private bathroom featuring a large combination bath and shower, pedestal sink, and medicine
cabinet for storing small toiletries. Keep an eye out for the new renovation to this bathroom.

Room #7 - The Nelle May Room
Located just off the upper landing this bedroom features a queen-sized bed and fireplace, it is
connected to The Colonel May Room via a jack and jill bathroom.
This bedroom has two tall chests and a comfortable armchair for relaxing in the evenings. The
bathroom features a large combination bath and shower with a pedestal sink and large cabinet for
storing toiletries. Currently, this bathroom is one large room but will, after future renovations, become
the jack and jill bathroom for The Nelle May Room and Colonel May Room as well as the upper hall
bathroom for The John Johnston Room and Nicketti Johnston Room.

Room #8 - The Colonel May Room
Located upstairs down the hall from the upper landing, this bedroom boasts spectacular views off the
upper porch. It has a queen-sized bed and shares a jack and jill bathroom with The Nelle
May Room.
This bedroom has a large dresser, a bookcase, and a seat for enjoying the spectacular view. This bedroom is conveniently located right by the door to the upper
porch allowing for late-night talks without disturbing other guests. The bathroom features a large
combination bath and shower with a pedestal sink and a large cabinet for storing toiletries. Currently this
bathroom is one large room but will, after future renovations, become the jack and jill bathroom for
The Nelle May Room and Colonel May Room as well as the upper hall bathroom for The John Johnston
Room and Nicketti Johnston Room.

Nicketti Johnston Room.
